On May 30, 2018, it was announced that two new Pokémon games in the main Pokémon franchise, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, were going to be released on November 16, 2018. They are the first installments of the main Pokémon RPG series for Nintendo Switch and are inspired by Pokémon Yellow with gameplay mechanics borrowed from Pokémon GO.

When Did The Second Generation Of Pokemon Come Out
The second generation of Pokémon began in 1999 with the release of Pokémon Gold and Silver for Game Boy Color. Like the previous generation, an enhanced version titled Pokémon Crystal was later released. The second generation introduced 100 new species of Pokémon, starting with Chikorita and ending with Celebi.

Pokmon Designs Were Originally Meant To Be Like Dinosaurs
While Rhydon hasn’t seemed like a mascot for the Pokémon series, there are remnants of its importance to developers within the games. Players might notice in Pokémon Gyms, tiny Rhydon statues are posted on pillars inside the doors. This small nod was a way for the developers to immortalize Rhydon’s importance to the series subtly.
Since its original introduction in Pokémon’s generation 1, Rhydon was given another evolution, Rhyperior. Players can get Rhyperior by trading a Rhydon holding a Protector. How Tajiri Came Up With The Idea
When he was a child, Satoshi Tajiri enjoyed playing with bugs. When he saw the Game Link Cable, an accessory used for the Game Boy, he came up with the idea of trading bugs with other Game Boy users. The Game Link Cable allowed two Game Boys to connect and was used for gamers to play with each other prior to Nintendo having wireless and online multiplayer modes. It took six years for the game to release after Nintendo and Miyamoto agreed to work on the project. The hard work and patience paid off when Pokémon released and fans loved it.

STORY
Pokémon: The First Movies setup was flawless and perfectly executed. We see Ash in a sick Pokémon battle, followed by the gang receiving a mysterious invitation to challenge the greatest Pokémon trainer in the world, who we come to know as Mewtwo, a hyper-intelligent but artificially-created Pokémon, unsure of his purpose in life.
They were created as a mere experiment, but they know in their heart that life must be more than servitude to humans. And its not just the humans their partner Pokémon cannot be spared either, as they foolishly believe that their masters are their friends.

Story-wise, Arceus the Alpha Pokémon is a kind of deity in the world of Pokémon. It is said to have been alone when it was born, and to have created all other Pokémon. A Normal-type with the ability to change its type to any others in the game, Arceus is said to have created Legendary Pokémon like the Creation Trio Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina and the Lake Guardian Trio Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf.
Arceus is also the mascot of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, released in 2022, where players find themselves in the ancient Hisui region and must help create the first Pokédex in history, with Arceus being a final boss of sorts for doing so.
But, if Mew is the ancestor to all Pokémon and Arceus created all Pokémon, you can see why fans might be confused. Some theories suggest that Mew would be the ancestor of all regular Pokémon, while Arceus originated the Legendaries and Mythicals. At this point, most of it is speculation and different interpretations of the lore from across over two decades of games, so our best guess is that both answers are valid.

Next up, we have Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 for the 3DS.
Like the other RPGs, Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 are an action role-playing video game thatre part of the fifth generation of the Pokémon video game series and are the sequels to Pokémon Black and White.
Released worldwide in 2012, theyre the first sequel in the series and feature the legendary Pokémon, Black Kyurem and White Kyurem.
The games are set approximately two years after the events of Black and White and are set in the Unova region. They feature 300 new Pokémon and creatures that were not featured in Black and White.
Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 received good reviews from critics and had combined sales of 7.81 million by January 2013.

Go back to 1999. Pokemon dominated the Earth. The monster collecting video game franchise got its start in Japan in 1996, but by the time it made its way to the western world in 1998, the games had a wildly successful anime and a trading card game to go with them. And they all hit stateside at the same time, creating a pop culture phenomenon that I dont think has been equaled in my lifetime.
Its not hard to see what made Pokemon popular: Its ever-increasing roster of Pokemon give it a seemingly endless supply of cute and cool characters, its emphasis on collecting, trading and sharing makes it engaging, and its kid-friendly exterior hides a deceptively deep set of rules and mechanics, whether its in its original video game form or the other media that have spawned from it.
Despite being a marketing goldmine , Pokemon was always more than that. As stated, the games were much deeper than they let on, and the TV series though often lacking in structure, heavy on repetition, and having its share of cheesy moments similarly made the effort to be something more. Its shortcomings were still there, of course, but the Pokemon anime made many attempts at pulling at the heartstrings with its themes of friendship, love, and even loss. It wasnt simply a fun little franchise, but something that really resonated with its target audience.

Groudon Kyogre & Rayquaza
After being formed in the deepest cracks of the Earth and lowest altitudes of the sea, Groudon and Kyogre were formed. They respectively controlled the land and sea. Eventually, the crystals inside the ozone layer formed the ruler of the two, Rayquaza, which ruled the air. Rayquaza’s resting point stood at the Sky Pillar. Eventually, after forming land and sea, Groudon and Kyogre grew competitive and fought over who would have more space for their power. Eventually, Rayquaza interfered with the battle which sent Groudon and Kyogre into caves where they slept. Red and Blue orbs were created to keep them asleep and were held up at Mt. Pyre.
Type: Null And Silvally
Type: Null was created by the Aether Foundation as part of its Beast Killer project an initiative to create a Pokémon optimized for battling the Ultra Beasts by using cell cultures from all known types of Pokémon and combining their greatest strengths. Originally known as Type: Full, the RKS System it was originally built with was intended to allow it to change types in order to adapt to any situation. When the three known models all rejected the RKS system and went berserk, the project was deemed a failure and they were placed into cryogenic stasis. The helmet Type: Null wears was made to stabilize the side-effects of the RKS Systems rejection at the expense of suppressing its full power. When it evolves into Silvally, it deliberately destroys its helmet and becomes able to use the RKS System without losing control of itself. Silvally was named by Gladion, according to the Pokédex.
Another Type: Null is later created in Galar by Macro Cosmos by using stolen research notes.

Johto’s Heart And Soul
Ever since the Generation III remakes for the incompatible Generation IRed and Green games, Pokémon fans have widely speculated that remakes of the Generation II Pokémon games, Gold and Silver, would be made for Nintendo DS. Indeed, the paired remakes, titled HeartGold and SoulSilver, were eventually released in Japan on September 12, 2009, and were released in the United States on March 14, 2010. The games were referred to in the anime in an episode that featured the counterpart of the new player character and the three starter Pokémon of Johto, one of whom even joined the regular cast. A new expansion set for the TCG was also released to celebrate the new games.
Some manga series followed the release of the games, such as a new sequel to Pokémon Pocket Monsters, titled Pocket Monsters HGSS, of which the first volume was released in June 28, 2011. A new chapter of Pokémon Adventures was released, with the first volume coming out in June 28, 2012.
A new game for the Wii: PokéPark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure, was released on December 5, 2009. The game was released in North America and Europe in the spring of 2010.
