Pokmon Go Alola To Alola Special Research And Event Guide

Hatching ALL 7 KM eggs NEW COLORS! – Pokemon Go

Special Research, a Collection Challenge, and many other bonuses to celebrate the end of the season

The final event to wrap up Pokémon Gos Season of Alola is taking place from May 25-31, and it somewhat combines all the events we got this season. The event features spawn increases for Alolan Pokémon, so if you missed out on any over the last few months, now is a great chance to catch up. Our Pokémon Go Alola to Alola guide lists out the Special Research, spawns, and other bonuses active during the event.

Notably, you can temporarily evolve Cubone into Alolan Marowak and it will learn Shadow Bone during the event period.

How Fast Can You Walk To Hatch A Pokmon Egg

It’s currently believed the optimal speed for hatching a Pokémon Go is 10.5 KM/H . Go slower, and it’ll just take you longer to hatch. Go faster, and Pokémon Go will discount the distance you’re traveling or, if you go fast enough, ignore it altogether.

If you reach 35 KM/H , you’ll get the speed-lock popup. At that point, little if any of your distance will be counted.

Does It Matter What Type Of Incubator You Use For Every Kind Of Egg

Any Incubator can be used to hatch any Pokémon Egg. That said, if you want the most from your Incubators:

  • Put 2 KM eggs in your unlimited use Incubator first.
  • Put 10 KM eggs in your three-use Incubators first.
  • If you have Super Incubators, use your 10 KM eggs on those first.
  • Look at it this way: If you have a 3-use Incubator and you use it for 2 km eggs, it’ll disappear after 6 km. If you use it for 10 km eggs, you’ll get 30 km out of it, or 5x the distance for your money.

How To Evolve Inkay Into Malamar In Pokmon Go

If you want to evolve an Inkay into a Malamar in Pokémon Go, you’ll need to first gather 50 Inkay Candy, then perform a unique action with your device.

First, let’s discuss Candy. This can be easily achieved by catching Inkay using Pinap Berries, walking with an Inkay as your buddy and completing Stage 5 of the Misunderstood Mischief special research quest, which will reward you with 10 Inkay Candy.

From there, you must complete a special requirement to evolve an Inkay into a Malamar. Thankfully, unlike Sirfetch’d or Runerigus, this requirement is very easy to meet.

Much like how, in the main series games, you have to turn your console upside down to evolve an Inkay, you’ll have to turn your phone upside down if you want to evolve this Pokémon in Pokémon Go! By this we mean you simply have to rotate your phone so that your screen is upside down.

That said, Niantic acknowledges that not all devices have this feature, and is currently working on a fix to impliment an alternative method:

Trainers, we’re aware that devices that do not feature gyroscopes do not support Inkay’s unique evolution method. We will be implementing a fix in release that will offer affected Trainers an alternate method to evolve Inkay into Malamar. Thank you for your patience.

Finally, there are a few other general – but still important – tips to bear in mind when hatching Eggs in Pokémon Go:

    • You can only hold a maximum of 9 Eggs at a time, including the Eggs you have in Incubators.
    • If you hit the maximum of 9 Eggs, you’ll watch to hatch some to pick up others, whether it’s 7km Eggs from Gifts or 2km, 5km and 10km Eggs from PokéStops.

    K Eggs Fossil Pokemon Event

In a sudden and unexpected shake-up of the egg-pool, Niantic has announced that 7k eggs will exclusively hatch Fossil Pokemon for the foreseeable future.

For those unaware, Fossil Pokemon are Pokemon in the main series that have been deemed extinct or ancient/rare in modern days, but are revivable via fossils. All Fossil Pokemon currently available in Pokemon Go are at least part rock-type and are based on prehistoric animals

Can You See How Far You’ve Traveled With A Pokmon Go Egg

Yup! As you walk, the Pokémon Egg screen will update to show you the distance you’ve walked each Egg up to one decimal place. For example, if you walk 1.3 KM, you’ll see 1.3 / 2 KM, 1.3 / 5 KM, or 1.3 / 10 KM.

If you tap on a Pokémon Egg, you can see the distance up to two decimal places.

The distance is updated every few minutes so, don’t worry if you walk for a bit and don’t see any immediate changes.

How To Hatch An Egg In Pokmon Go

To hatch an egg, simply tap the Pokéball, tap on the ‘Eggs’ column, select an egg, then hit ‘Incubate’ and select an incubator. Alternatively, you can select an incubator using the icon on the bottom right of the eggs column, then select an egg.

All players receive a single infinite use incubator, but if you want to hatch a lot of eggs at once you can acquire additional limited use incubators from the shop or as a reward for completing special research quests such as that for Mew and Celebi.

Once an egg’s sitting in an incubator, simply walk the specified distance to hatch the egg.

    • If you enable Adventure Sync you don’t even have to have the app open while you walk
    • Note that during certain events, Pokémon GO developer Niantic may halve hatching distances – this stacks with the super incubator .

Pokmon Go Pancham Counters Weaknesses And Moveset Explained

Pancham, along with its evolution Pangoro, have been released into Pokémon Go as part of the Luminous Legends X event.

Thanks to Pancham being a one-star raid boss, you should be able to use your knowledge of its counters and weaknesses to defeat it all by yourself. Don’t forget to utilize your Remote Raid passes either!

After the Luminous Legends X event ends, Pancham will be available via Strange Eggs, which can only be acquired by defeating a Team Go Rocket Leader or Giovanni. So, if you want to save yourself a look of egg hatching time, we recommend trying to hunt down a Pancham in a raid.

How To Get 7km Eggs In Pokemon Go

    Alolan Pokémon egg hatches

Any Pokemon GO players who are dedicated to catching them all might want to try and acquire 7km eggs, since they hatch some pretty unique Pokemon.

Eggs have been a mainstay in Pokemon since Generation II, where Game Freak implemented Egg moves and breeding. In Pokemon GO, though, they added a new spin on the concept with the walking distances.

Generally, the longer a trainer needs to walk to hatch an egg, the more rare that Pokemon will be. 7km eggs in particular, though, always hatch regional variants. Heres how trainers can get a hold of them.

Keep it moving or you might drop the Egg!

As an incentive to keep players moving, Pokémon Go has players hatching Eggs, which will let them encounter Pokémon after they hit a certain distance milestone.

Whether it be 2km, 5km, 7km, 10km, or even 12km, players will need to pick up the pace to ensure they hatch as many Eggs as possible.

You can easily tell how long an Egg will take to hatch, with all of them being colorcoded and tracking your steps once you add them to your inventory and put them into an Incubator. You will always have one Incubator on hand, but you can get more by leveling up or by purchasing them with your PokéCoins in the shop.

When you hatch an Egg you get experience, typically around 500 or 1,000 XP, and an additional 500 XP if it is a new Pokémon you havent encountered before. You also get Candy for the Pokémon you hatched, maxing out at 40 depending on its CP.

Just like with Raids, Eggs have a set list of Pokémon that can hatch from them. Niantic rotates this list frequently and events always add a few bonus Pokémon into the mix so players can keep things fresh.

Here is the full Egg hatch list for March 2022.

Which Pokmon Hatch From Which Eggs

Whats in Pokémon Go eggs changes frequently. They typically shift when events happen, changing to pools of eggs that have Pokémon to match the event. The Pokémon you get out of an egg depends on when you obtained the egg, not when you hatch the egg.

Tapping on the egg and scrolling down in the app will list out the potential Pokémon you can get from that egg, by rarity. The more egg icons it has, the rarer it is to hatch.

You can see a complete list of Pokémon in all the different types of eggs on The Silph Road.

Regional Pokémon will only hatch from eggs obtained from their respective region.

Pokmon Go Egg Types And Where To Get Them

Eggs come in a variety of different forms, the names corresponding to the distance you must walk to hatch them:

    • 2km
    • 7km
    • 10km –

2, 5 and 10km eggs have a random chance of dropping when you spin a Pokéstop . 7km eggs are found instead in gifts received from friends. You can carry a maximum of 9 eggs of any variety at one time – new eggs will not be dispensed until you hatch one of your existing eggs .

Eggs aren’t just about hatching harder to get species – the Pokémon you get from them also have higher than average IVs and you’ll also get a random number of evolution candies .

Pancham Counters And Weaknesses In Pokmon Go

Here are Pancham’s weaknesses, along with some counter ideas, so you can add it to your Pokédex in Pokémon Go:

    • Pancham type – Fighting-type
    • Pancham counters – Moltres, Mewtwo, Granbull Togekiss, Gardevoir, Metagross, Latios, Rayquaza and Honchkrow
    • Other Pancham notes – Since Pancham is a one-star raid boss, you should be able to easily defeat it by yourself and with a couple, probably only one, powerful Pokémon.

How To Hatch Eggs In Pokmon Go

To hatch an egg, put the egg in an Incubator. All players will have one orange Incubator that they can use forever. Incubators can only hold one egg at a time. All other Incubators can be used three times before they disappear. Additional Incubators are purchased with coins .

Regular Incubators hatch eggs the same way the orange unlimited Incubator does, but Super Incubators cut the distance you need to hatch by one-third.

Having more than one Incubator means being able to incubate more than one egg at a time and thus more hatches for the same amount of walking. Its by no means mandatory to use more than the free unlimited Incubator, but if youd like to speed up your progress, its an option.

After your egg is in an Incubator, you just have to walk around. If you have Adventure Sync turned on, you can walk around with the app closed to hatch eggs.

Do You Have To Travel In A Straight Line

Pokémon Go measures distance in a straight line based on the change in GPS position. So, to get maximum distance, you should travel in a straight line too.

It’s believed that Pokémon Go actually records distance more frequently, though. Somewhere between one to four times a minute. So, you could theoretically change direction after a minute or so and still get good results.

Pokmon Go Regional Exclusives Map And How Regional Exclusives Work In Pokmon Go

Each generation of Pokémon has several creatures you can only find in specific regions. These can be specific countries , entire continents , certain regions and even ‘halves’ of the planet .

These creatures are fairly common spawns in these regions, so if you are visiting for a short period, it won’t take long to find them.

Regionals can be found spawning in the wild – so don’t expect them in gyms or in nests. From September 2019, regionals have also been made available in Eggs – but only from their respective regions. This is also the only way to get Mime Jr., the Gen 4 pre-evolution to Gen 1’s regional exclusive Mr Mime.

If you don’t travel, then don’t fret. Gen 3 has shown these creatures can swap round occasionally or drop regional exclusivity altogether and as mentioned above, shift temporarily for special events, such as Farfetch’d during Pokémon Go’s 2017 Travel Challenge.

Below you’ll find a map of all the regional exclusive Pokémon in Pokémon Go:
