Fans Think Pokemon Go Mega Legendary Raids Need Some Major Changes

The Pokemon GO Air Adventures Event added a new Flying Pikachu as well as Mega Latias and Latios Raids but players are frustrated with the new Mega Legendary Raids.

List Of Raid Bosses Changes/2020

In this year, Incarnate Forme of Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus, Reshiram, Zekrom and Kyurem were introduced. Genesect was also made into Raid Battles after first introduced in Special Research.

On August 26th, Tier 2 and 4 were merged with Tier 1 and Tier 3 respectively. Mega Raids were introduced afterward.

How Do I Catch Raid Bosses

Even with the maximum possible number of premier balls at your disposal, youre still not guaranteed to catch the Pokémon especially if its a legendary at tier five. If you want to significantly increase your chances, youre going to need to use a golden razz berry.

Fortunately, golden razz berries are a reward for defeating raid bosses in the first place, so if you raid often you should have plenty on you to increase the chances of capturing the boss.

Heres a round-up of other things you can do to increase your chances of catching a difficult raid boss:

• Throw a curveball by spinning the Poké ball before you throw it
• Get an excellent throw by landing the Poké ball within the circle when its small
• Get medals for the type of Pokémon youre aiming to catch

All Current Raid Bosses In Pokemon Go

Pokemon GO has been one of the most popular mobile games on the market since its debut in July 2016. A large portion of the game’s success can be credited to Niantic’s constant updates to the game.

Niantic has been adding new Pokemon and events to the game in addition to new features and mechanics. Starting in the fall of 2021, a new feature of Seasons has been added to Pokemon GO. Seasons typically last for three months and are usually themed around what the Season intends on adding to the game for that period.

For example, the Season of Mischief was themed around Hoopa, later added. Currently, Pokemon GO is in its Season of Alola. This season revolves entirely around the seventh generation of the Pokemon franchise and the Pokemon it introduced.

When Do Raid Hours Take Place

Each week, Niantic hosts a special Raid Hour takes place to allow players a better chance at catching the current 5-Star Raid Pokemon. All of the gyms that have Raids in them will be 5-Star, so thats Kyurem right now.

Raid Hours take place every Wednesday from 6PM to 7PM, and you wont have to worry about time zones as it will always be your local time. This is the perfect chance to get out there and catch yourself a Legendary.

Poni Adventure: Tapu Fini Debut

The monthly preview Niantic released for May 2022 didnt mention an adventure on Poni Island as a standalone event, but the release of Tapu Fini as a fifth-level Raid boss is likely to be accompanied by content surrounding the legendary Pokémons home island.

This was certainly the case with Tapu Finis three predecessors. Alola Seasons end will also bring a Special Research story for all players who have completed all four Alola Adventure Special Research stories according to Niantic, so for that reason we must assume a bit of Poni Island content will come into the game along with its patron spirit.

Other Upcoming Pokmon Go Events May 2022

• A Mega Moment:
• Pokémon Air Adventures Event:Tuesday, May 3, 2022, to Sunday, May 8, 2022. Features the debut of Mega Latios and Mega Latias, and the return of Flying Pikachu.
• Water Festival: Thursday, May 12, 2022, to Friday, May 20, 2022. Water-type Pokémon will get massively boosted spawn rates during the event.
• Alola to Alola: Wednesday, May 25, 2022, to Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Alolan Pokémon will appear with boosted spawn rates on the map.

Pokémon GO players will also be able to encounter Alolan Grimer with May’s Research Breakthrough. After completing one Field Research task every 24 hours and obtaining seven days’ worth of stamps, players will get a chance to catch the Sun and Moon Pokémon. Those who are really lucky may even run into a Shiny version of Alolan Grimer. Upcoming Raids In Pokemon Go

Starting off the month are the 5-star Darkrai Raids. Darkrai has been and will be available from October 22 to November 5. What makes this Darkrai so special is the fact that this specific Darkrai has access to the move Sludge Bomb.

This is desirable for many players because it provides coverage against the Fairy-type Pokemon that gives Darkrai a difficult time in PvP.

The next 5-star Raid in November is the legendary trio from the Unova region, Terrakion, Virizion, and Cobalion. These three Fighting types will be valuable to add to anyone’s Pokemon GO team due to the overabundance of Steel-type Pokemon that dominate all of the tiers of the Battle League. The trio will be available from November 5 to November 16.

The next 5-star Raid in November is Cresselia. Cresselia is infamous for being one of the tankiest Psychic-type Pokemon in the franchise. This holds true in Pokemon GO, as Cresselia has a massive defense stat of 258 and a stamina stat of 260. Cresselia will be available from November 16 to December 1.

The Mega Raids for this month are also different from those in October however, to start the month, Mega Absol will still be available until November 5.

Afterwards, Mega Manectric will be available to challenge. Trainers looking to participate in the raid should be mindful of Manectric’s major Ground-type weakness. Excadrill or even Groudon would be effective counters. Mega Manectric will be available until November 16.
