    Autumn 2015 Regional Championships Merchandise

The Autumn Regional Championships for the 2016 Pokémon Play! season were held in North America in six locations starting the weekend of October 3-4, 2015. The merchandise for this set of tournaments was centered around the newly revealed Pokémon, Hoopa, and the Ancient Origins expansion of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Two different designs of playmats were made available: one featuring the Ryota Murayama Ancient Origins pack artwork of Mega Tyranitar and the other of Shiny Primal Groudon. Unstamped versions of the playmats were awarded based on the Premier Tournament Organizer’s discretion, while those who finished in Top 8, Top 4, Finalist, and Champion ranks were awarded an appropriately stamped version of the Shiny Primal Groudon Mat. Other prizes included two different versions of Hoopa Confined sleeves, a Hoopa themed deckbox, and Hoenn starter hats left over from the previous season of tournaments. Changes this year include only awarding the Champion with a trophy, instead of multiple top finishers. Each participant also received a promotional Regionals stamped Mirror Holofoil Ace Trainer from Ancient Origins.

Staff for the events were presented with a Staff print of the Ace Trainer promotional card, staff-stamped Mega Tyranitar playmat, and other unused merchandise from the main events were also presented to them for their efforts.

Xy Evolutions Elite Trainer Box Investment

Out of all the sets in the last six years XY Evolutions is one of the few that will perform exceptionally better than the rest. In our modern times it’s the closest thing to a base set booster box. A while back we discussed XY Evolutions booster boxes as a good investment even though they were $450 at the time, now they’re pushing $1k box and out of the price point of many, so ETB’s become the next best thing. Here’s 3 reasons why am bullish on XY Evolution etbs!

  • Price Point Separation. – As the booster boxes climb in price they escape the budget of many. With the climbing prices fear of missing out , kicks in. Suddenly, the XY Evolution etb’s seem like the next best thing. Why? Because boxes are too expensive, but prices are climbing and many of us want a piece of XY Evolutions, and elite trainer boxes are next in line. So with the new high prices I believe much of the market will forced to transition to etb’s since many of us can’t afford the booster boxes new price point. If boxes are pushing $1k etb’s should be $240+, not $130-150.
